Information & Class Policies
Please read & share all information below. Many of these policies were put in place to help ensure the enjoyment of all of our students as well as to foster a creative, yet professional environment. These policies apply to you and anyone you bring and/or give this class to.
General Info & Class Policies (Earring Class)
- Please call the shop to schedule your class. Current class times are: Tues., - Fri.: 11:30 or 3:00 Sat.: 10:30, 1:30, & 3:30 (there are no Saturday classes the 2nd Saturday of the month) No walk-ins. Class sizes are kept very small (3 per class Tues. – Fri. & 6 on Saturday). The Groupon # (alpha-numeric code in the upper right hand of your Groupon coupon) is needed to schedule you for your class.
-We are located on Red Branch Rd. Our driveway is directly across from Rumsey Rd. (Rumsey T's out to Red Branch). We are next to Maryland Piano and a couple doors down from Industrial Deli.
-Saturdays fill up fast! Please schedule early if Saturday is the only day you can take the class.
-You will be making 3 pairs of basic earrings (approx. 1” long). 2 pairs will be made using semi-precious gemstone beads and with the 3rd you have the option of using an individual silver charm as the earring or a smaller silver charm under a semi-precious earring (please see above photo). Tools are provided for class use and all materials are included. (over 35 different semi-precious gemstone beads, .999 fine silver plated pewter spacers, and silver plated/nickel free earwires.)
- Plan on approximately 45 - 60 minutes for your class. Officially, your class is 60 minutes long. The timing mostly depends on how long it takes you to design & make your 3 pairs of earrings.
-Please bring appropriate eye wear (magnification) if you need it. Jewelry parts are rather small.
-13 is the youngest age we will take in this class and anyone ages 13 - 15 must be accompanied by a paying adult. (We are developing special classes/events for adults with younger children, please call the shop for more details. 410-772-BEAD)

- If you need to cancel or reschedule your class, please do so as early as possible but at least 24 hours before your class is scheduled to start. Failure to do so will result in a $15 charge per person when you do reschedule your class. (This is to cut down on no-shows)
- Please be on time for your class. Classes start & end on time and the instructions/demos are given at the beginning of the session. Any “catching-up” for late students will be done after the initial instructions are given. If you are late, please come in and take a seat as quietly to cause as little disruption as possible
-As many more people are becoming allergic, chemically sensitive, and/or have various respiratory concerns (including the instructors), we require that that no perfumes, oils, scented soaps, scented lotions, scented hairsprays, and/or powders (including baby powder) be used by anyone attending a class or workshop. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause but the health & well being of our students & instructors is very important to us. You (and your group if multiple people are on 1 Groupon) will have to reschedule and be subject to the $15 per person rescheduling fee.
- No Food or Drink allowed in store/classroom.
- No outside materials allowed.
-Children between the ages of 13 & 15 must be accompanied by a paying adult (someone over the age of 18). No exceptions.
-We do not allow guests or other children in the class. We do not offer childcare services nor is there a place for someone to "just hang-out" in.
